The Royal Automotive Group offers many opportunities, including the role of Cashier. The cashier receives payment for products or services sold by the dealership, assists with warranty claims and plays a key role in maintaining or creating customer satisfaction for the business transaction.

The ideal candidate will be friendly and personable. This person will also understand basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc), as well as being able to listen and empathize to the customers. This person would also have at least 1 year of experience in a dealership setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greets customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Computes customer bills.
• Receives cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; records amount received.
• Makes change and issues receipts to customers.
• Provides refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise or as directed by managers.
• Answers customer questions about service performed or products purchased, or refers them to someone who can.
• Closes all open invoices.
• Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied
• customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution.
• Processes warranty claims and follows up on past due claims
• Maintains a professional appearance.
• Keeps work area neat and clean.
• Reconciles cash drawer daily.
• Works with department managers to keep abreast of new products and services offered, their features and value, and any changes in price.
• Acts as backup to switchboard operator by answering incoming phone calls; directing caller to appropriate department or individual or taking a thorough message; communicating with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly and efficient manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Must have one year in a dealership setting
• Must have an impressive work-ethic
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance
